The 52-year-old, of Burchell Road, Newbury, admitted driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Long Lane, Shaw, without due care and attention on November 5 last year.

He further admitted driving while disqualified and driving without insurance, both on the same occasion.

Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.

Mr Derwin, who was legally represented at the hearing by Alex Granville, was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
