Cash feud led to offensive weapons threats - court

Threats flew; a baseball bat and an iron bar were used to smash property and 18-year-old Cameron Max Harle is facing a possible jail sentence, the court was told on Thursday, May 15.
And it was all over the princely sum of £5, said Clare Barclay, prosecuting.
She said Mr Harle, of Wormersley Road, Greenham, went to nearby Pritchard Close to confront his debtor, Kurt Fishlock.
But the door was opened by Mr Fishlock’s brother, Kieron, the court heard, and an argument ensued.
Ms Barclay added: “During the altercation, Mr Harle produced a baseball bat and hit the roof support over the front door. He was shouting and swearing throughout, demanding to speak to the other male.
“He then walked off and, using the bat, smashed the windscreen of Kieron Fishlock’s car. Mr Harle was later arrested and admitted he was looking for Mr Pritchard’s brother...because of a dispute over £5.”
Mr Harle, who has previously been cautioned for a public order offence, admitted causing criminal damage to the car windscreen and having an offensive weapon, both on April 26 this year.
Sarah Neighbour, defending, said that the pair had once been “good friends,” but added: “Some days previously, Kurt Pritchard had come to Mr Harle’s home address where his pregnant girlfriend was and threatened him with an iron bar before using it to damage the springs on the door post.”
She said her client had consumed alcohol on the day he armed himself with the baseball “for protection” and added: “Binge drinking may be an issue.”
Magistrates adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports to be prepared and warned Mr Harle that he faced a possible jail sentence.
He was meanwhile bailed until June 6 on condition he does not contact either Kurt or Kieron pritchard.
