Cashpoint fraud at Pangbourne Co-op




Police want to speak with two men about a cashpoint fraud at a supermarket in West Berkshire.

Two men were seen tampering with a cash machine outside the Co-op store in The Square, Pangbourne.

A short time later a man in his 60s attempted to use the cashpoint.

It didn't return his card and, after attempting to call his bank, he left the area.

Two men were then seen returning to the cashpoint and stealing the card before using it to withdraw £400.

Thames Valley Police has released CCTV images of two men officers would like to speak to in relation to the incident, which happened shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, April 29.

Investigating officer Danielle Scott said: “I am appealing to anybody who recognises the people in this image to please come forward as they may have vital information to assist us with our investigation.

“I am also appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that may assist us to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information should call 101 or make an online report, via our website, quoting crime reference number 43250209651.

“If you don’t want to speak directly with police, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
