Cash stolen from Padworth Common home
Police appeal for witnesses after £50 was stolen from the property of an elderly man on Saturday, October 22
CASH was stolen from the home of an elderly man in Padworth Common recently.
At about 3.30pm on Saturday, October 22, two men entered the property of an elderly man on Reading Road and stole £50.
While in the kitchen, the men were disturbed by the victim, who chased them out of the house.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the burglary and have released descriptions of the two men.
Both are white and aged between 20 and 25 and one of them is of large build and was wearing a black woolly beanie type hat, black jumper and black jeans.
The other man is of thin build, with high cheek bones and a pointy chin. He had brown short hair, shorter on the side and back and longer and fluffier on top and he was wearing a light brown suit.
Case investigator, Nina Tanner, from Newbury police station, said: “These suspects were seen running into Chapel Lane and I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.”
