Celebrating the achievements of adult learners

The annual West Berkshire Learner Achievement Awards were held at Shaw House last Friday

THE learning achievements of individuals, organisations and businesses in West Berkshire was celebrated at an awards ceremony last week.

The chairman of West Berkshire Council, Graham Pask, attended Shaw House on Friday (May 13) for the annual West Berkshire Learner Achievement Awards, which covered a wide spectrum of achievements, including employment skills, professional qualifications and training, apprenticeships and family learning.

Dozens of individuals and businesses received a monetary award and certificate in recognition of their achievements, which the council said demonstrated how local people have taken up the challenge to change their lives through education and training.
