West Berkshire Council celebrates its foster carers to kick off Fostering Fortnight
West Berkshire has celebrated all the great work undertaken by the fostering service at its annual conference.
The West Berkshire Council Foster Care Conference took place at Arlington Arts Centre on Wednesday, May 10 and its focus was to celebrate some of the new initiatives the team are implementing.
These include the Foster Care Community Hub Support Project, the development of the Children in Care CAMHS Service and the outstanding work that West Berkshire Council does in supporting unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people.
Keith Langley, team manager in the West Berkshire Family Placement Team at West Berkshire Council, said: “The conference also was an opportunity for West Berkshire Council to thank our foster carers for all the love, care and support that they provide to children.
“Long service awards were presented to our foster carers who have provided outstanding service over a period of years.”
