Celebrity TV chef Clodagh Mckenna opens new lifestyle store
Irish TV chef and presenter, Clodagh McKenna, has opened her first flagship store, Clodagh Store.
Clodagh McKenna, 47, opened her new store on the grounds of 18th century country house hotel, The Retreat at Elcot Park. It stocks sustainable hand-made table linens, British bees-wax candles, hand-blown glassware and cookware items, along with seasonal flowers and wreaths.
The site further houses the Broadspear farm shop, featuring produce from the celebrity chef's own sustainable farm including beef, honey, eggs, pickles, chutneys, vegetables and juices.
She is married to Harry Herbert, the brother of the Earl of Carnarvon.
Visitors may also be tempted by a curated selection of artisan cheeses, pates, cold meats, pasta and other pantry favourites.
Clodagh McKenna's cakes are also available to takeaway or eat in, at the courtyard outside the front of the shop, along with bread baked fresh daily by a local artisan baker.
She said: "I am so excited to be opening the first physical Clodagh Store. For many years now I have wanted to open a sustainable retail space and The Retreat is the perfect setting.
"I'm delighted to supply items from our little sustainable farm, Broadspear: grass-fed beef, happy free-running chickens and ducks that give us the best eggs, wild meadow honey and orchards creating the most delicious juice, chutneys and jams. I have personally curated all the items in the shop, from beautiful crockery to my favourite pantry items.
"These are some of my favourite products and things that I use every single day. I want to provide my customers with everything they need to create the heart of their homes."
She also made a guest appearance at Elcot Park's Christmas Fayre to switch on the Christmas Lights display at 7pm. The fayre opened from 6pm with more than 30 stalls selling luxury gifts.
The chef is the author of eight cookbooks, including most recently In Minutes, which was a Number One best-seller in the UK and Ireland. She is the resident chef on ITV's This Morning.
