Prior’s Court CEO bids farewell with final fundraising challenge
THE CEO of Prior’s Court is taking on an epic fundraising challenge as part of his farewell to the Hermitage-based charity.
Mike Robinson will be stepping down as the autism charity’s CEO at the end of July after eight years in the post.
And he is preparing to undertake a 60-mile hike to fundraise for the centre’s Let Me Shine Performing Arts Centre appeal, seeking to enrich the experience of its young people with complex autism through access to music, dance and drama.
‘Mike’s Hike’ will involve a full four days of walking 60 miles along the Kennet and Avon Canal from Bath to Newbury, from Tuesday, June 27 to Friday, June 30.
“I want to raise as much money as I can to support projects which improve the lives of young people with complex autism at Prior’s Court,” said Mr Robinson.
“As CEO, I’ve seen first-hand how the combination of incredible staff members with expert knowledge alongside bespoke, tailored facilities can truly transform their lives.
“I am hugely passionate about the arts centre appeal and am determined to do what I can to make this facility a reality and so give more young people with complex autism access to the transformational power of the arts.”
Mr Robinson will be joined by staff and young people along parts of the walk to celebrate all he has achieved in his time as CEO.
Supporters will be able to track his progress via the Prior’s Court website, where more ways to get involved will be announced soon soon.

Reflecting on his long career at Prior’s Court, Mr Robinson added: “The last eight years at Prior’s Court have been the most fulfilling experience of my career.
“It has been truly special to be part of an amazing team of people making such a difference to the lives of an equally amazing group of young people and their families.”
