Champion beer award for Yattendon-based brewery

The Campaign for Real Ale has awarded the brewery a bronze medal in the strong bitter category for its Dr Hexter’s Healer ale. The award was handed over during an open day at the brewery last Saturday.
Head brewer Will Twomey said: “Dr Hexter’s Healer is my favourite, and it’s great to see it gain recognition further afield.”
CAMRA’s brewery liaison officer, Sam Williams, who presented the award said: “Will is so passionate about all things brewing, and this is reflected in the beers, and evidenced by a raft of local and nationwide awards.
“The large turnout here for the open day shows that increasingly people have a real interest in not only local beers, but how they are produced.
“I always look forward to the monthly seasonal ale.”
