Lambourn jockey Oisin Murphy charged with drink driving and failing to provide roadside test after serious collision
A champion jockey has been charged with drink driving and failing to cooperate with a roadside test in connection with a serious crash in Hermitage.
Oisin Murphy, 29, of Beales Farm Road, Lambourn, was charged last Thursday (June 19) with one count of driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol and one count of failing to cooperate with a preliminary test at the roadside.
The charge is in connection with a single vehicle crash which occurred when a grey Mercedes A Class left the road and crashed into a tree around 12.05am on Sunday, April 27.
Mr Murphy is due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 3.
