Heartstart Thatcham, will give the people of Thatcham and surrounding areas including Newbury, the chance to learn vital skills which could help them save someone’s life.
The scheme now wants people to volunteer to learn Emergency Life Support (ELS) skills. ELS is the set of actions needed to help keep someone alive until professional help arrives and includes performing CPR, dealing with choking and serious bleeding, and how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
Training sessions will start in August.
Heartstart is a British Heart Foundation (BHF) initiativ.
