Change in luck as Three Horseshoes pub reopens
Punters were offered welcome drinks and canapés and had the opportunity to meet their new landlords.
The front signage and interior of the pub have been re-vamped, while visitors can now choose from a new menu made up of home-made dishes.
Emma Simmonds who previously worked as a deputy general manager at the Rowbarge in Woolhampton, will run the pub alongside her partner, James Scarr.
She said: “It is very exciting. the pub was absolutely packed and we’ve already had a lot of positive feedback.
“When we arrived the pub looked really run-down and unloved. There were dirty carpets and the exterior looked shabby.
“It’s been a long eight weeks and a lot of hard work, but it’s certainly been worth it. We are proud of how it looks now and are delighted that people seem to feel the same.”
She added that they were looking into the possibility of converting an adjoining garage into a village shop in the future.
