Join the charity car wash at Newbury Fire Station

Newbury Fire Station is hosting its charity car wash this weekend.

On Saturday (March 30), on-duty and support firefighters will be outside their premises in Hawthorn Road cleaning cars to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.

The charity supports firefighters and their families who have sustained physical and mental injuries in the line of duty with therapy and rehabilitation.

Station manager, Robin Jordan, explained the station is also accepting donations for West Berks Food Bank.

He said the public are welcome to drop off tinned and dry goods and toiletries at the station on the day.

The event will take place between 10am and 4pm. The recommended minimum donation is £5.
