Charity donations will fund children and young people
Trustees of a Thatcham charity have allocated funds to children and young people in West Berkshire.
The Winchcombe Charity trustees have donated thousands of pounds to students who have been successful with their exams and gained places for further education.
It raised £3000 from donors and had a further £2000 from investments.
They also donated to St Marys Church in Thatcham, St Marys Church in Bucklebury and St Marks Church in Cold Ash to help with children’s activities within the Parishes.
The charity was able to make such donations following successful grant applications which had been made to Thatcham Rotary, Greenham Trust and the Englefield Foundation.
It still has funds remaining for students in Thatcham, Cold Ash and Bucklebury and is calling to any students or apprentices who may need a grant to contact secretary Sandra Griffin on sandra.griffin1@hotmail.com
