The George and Pelican is hosting a fundraising evening tonight (Saturday) for Marie Curie Cancer Care

A CHARITY fundraising event is being held at a Newbury town centre pub tonight (Saturday).

The George and Pelican in Bartholomew Street is hosting an fundraising evening for the Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The evening will feature entertainment, a DJ and live music from 10pm until 1am with Newbury party band Platinum.

The event starts at 8pm and tickets are priced at £2 on the door, although photo identification will be required.
