Charity golf day raises £6,000 for special needs centre Swings & Smiles

An annual golf day has raised £6,000 for a special needs centre in Thatcham.

The golfing fun, held at Wokefield Park Golf Club, was in aid of essential support work for the charity Swings & Smiles, based on Lower Way.

Of the 14 teams that took part, last year’s champions Village Financial Services retained their title.

Swings & Smiles saw “huge growth” last year, with 1,074 families now registered to the service.
