British Heart Foundation branch on Mansion House Street celebrates anniversary
The British Heart Foundation in Newbury has celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Staff and volunteers celebrated their achievement with cake, sent from the company’s head office.
The branch currently employs four members of paid staff and has 18 volunteers.
Store manager of five years Dawn Shaw said: “This charity is close to my heart and it is for a lot of our volunteers.
“They all like to give back in some way.
“Some of them work 30 to 35 hours a week.
“We meet all types of people in this job from all walks of life, of all races.
“We have everybody.”
She added: “It is a lovely team to work with.
“But we are always looking for more volunteers.”
Anybody interested in volunteering can pop into the store on Mansion House Street for more information.
