Pangbourne Rotary Club raises over £7k for good causes in Newbury and West Berkshire




A rotary club has donated more than £7,000 through its fundraising work over the past three months.

Pangbourne Rotary Club’s recent Art Exhibition raised more than £2,650.

The proceeds have been split between charities Bridge for Young People and Brookfields School.

Pangbourne’s Charitable Trust also donated almost £4,500 to a wide range of charities including Newbury Soup Kitchen, Dreamflights, No 5 Young People, Berkshire Youth, CIRDIC, Bloodbikes, Berkshire MS Therapy Centre, Shelterbox (overseas aid) and Carebus.

Rotarian Brian Davies said: “We thank the public for supporting our fundraising events which enable us to make these donations.

“Our next fundraiser is the Dragon Boat Racing at the Pangbourne Fete on Saturday (June 14).”

Racing starts at 10am. Purley Park Trust and West Berkshire Homeless will be the main beneficiaries.
