Charity workers get tile on cancer wall of fame

Husband and wife design team Daryl and Louise Wilkinson, who live in Church Street, were among numerous patients, family members, scientists and clinicians who gathered for the launch of a new centre which will bring fresh hope to the 16,000 people per year diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The couple, who run the Hungerford-based design firm Clearthinking, were instrumental in developing the Brain Tumour Research brand at its inception and have continued to provide creative direction to the charity ever since.
They were inspired to get involved having discovered that two close friends had been diagnosed with a brain tumour and also having lost the wife of a friend to the same disease.
The new Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence was unveiled at Queen Mary University of London and the event was hosted by charity patron, John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons.
