Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to this week’s Dog of the Week.
We had taken a little break from our regular column while Dogs Trust underwent some transformations and Newbury moved to become a dedicated fostering centre.
But we’re back now and there’s still plenty of dogs looking for a loving forever home.
So today, we’re introducing you to cheeky Charlie.
Charlie is an adorable four-year-old crossbreed, who arrived at Dogs Trust from a “somewhat complicated situation involving multiple dogs”.
The adoption team is happy to chat about his history with anyone interested in him.
“Charlie can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you,” they added.
“With a sprinkle of patience and some tasty treats, he quickly warms up and reveals his friendly, fluffy personality.
“Once he gets to know you, he absolutely thrives on the attention and loves a good cuddle session.
“This charming fellow is not just a foodie but also enjoys playing with his toys and having fun interactions with his handlers.”
He is still getting the hang of car rides, so the trust said it is looking for a loving home where car travel is kept to a minimum in the beginning.
Charlie is a lively companion in search of a forever home that matches his energetic spirit, so is looking for an active household that can keep up with his exercise needs.
Access to a spacious garden or a secure compound is a must and Charlie will thrive in an environment as an only pet, where he can be the centre of attention.
“If you think Charlie is the right fit for you, do get in touch,” they added. “He’s ready to spread his paws and find that perfect forever home.”
