Chieveley car blaze suspected arson

Firefighters from Newbury Fire Station were called at 1.37am to Green Lane, where a Mitsubishi Shogun was well alight outside the Red Lion pub in the village.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using a hosereel.
No-one was hurt, or found to be in the vehicle at the time.
The car was destroyed in the blaze.
Firefighters left the scene at around 2am.
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) recorded the fire as a suspected arson.
