Children In Need activities well under way in West Berkshire
Kickstarting the fundraising early was this group at Chieveley pre-school on Tuesday, who ditched their normal clothes for cosy pyjamas for a donation.
During the day, children kept busy with baking Pudsey-themed cakes and biscuits to be sold to parents and families throughout the week and also brought along bags of pennies to decorate pictures of Pudsey bear which will also be donated to the cause.
Their efforts raised £61.90 for Children in Need, a figure which is expected to rise to £100 once all of their tasty treats have been sold.
The chairwoman of the parent-run pre-school, Faye Keats, said: “They had a brilliant day in their pyjamas and making cakes.
“They had a really super day.”
Hundreds of schools, colleges and local businesses across the district will be fundraising for the cause this week.
Today, Newbury College is hosting a cake sale and pupils will be wearing onesies to their lessons, while a range of fundraising activities will be on offer to Theale Green pupils at lunchtime.
