Chocolate egg hunts for Easter get underway
An Easter egg hunt is to take place in Aldworth on the recreation ground at 10.30am.
Entry costs £1.50 and the money will be put towards a new children’s playground.
And from 9am until noon the community-run market selling local plants and produce will be held in Aldworth Village Hall. For more details telephone (01635) 579295.
Another egg hunt will take place at the Institute for Animal Health Cricket Field, Compton, from 2pm until 5pm, where you can also find cakes, teas, a barbecue and a beer tent. All proceeds go to www.walkthewalk.org uniting against breast cancer.
At the Hosehill Lake Nature Reserve, Station Road, Theale, an Easter holiday family event is taking place from 11am until 2pm. Ranger Sarah will take you on a guided walk around the reserve with an opportunity to meet the ponies. Entry costs £3.50 per person and booking is essential, contact Becky O’Melia on (01635) 874381.
