Christmas fairs being held today (Sunday)

Families are invited to the free event which will include a doggy tombola and gift stalls selling homemade preserves and Dogs Trust calendars.
The trust is also appealing for toys, blankets and tinned food to be brought along on the day so that the dogs have something to open on Christmas Day.
Assistant manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, Jenny Hopkins, said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting another fabulous Christmas Fayre at Dogs Trust Newbury.
"It promises to be great day out for the whole family and with all proceeds of items sold going towards the care of our dogs at the centre. It’s a wonderful way to raise pounds for hounds and give back this Christmas.”
The festive fun will be held between 10am and noon at the centre at Plumb Farm, Hamstead Marshall, today.
Two Christmas craft fairs are also being held today, with a selection of festive foods and gifts to help prepare you for Yuletide.
More than 80 stalls will be open at St Gabriel's School between 10.30am and 3pm with carol singers, face painting, a silent auction and activities for children.
A fair offering candles, jewlery, soaps, cards and glassware all produced by local people will be held at Hungerford town hall between 10am and 1.30pm.
A free mince pie will be offered with every drink purchased and the fair will also feature a raffle draw, a 'have a go' craft corner and competition for children.
Also for children today is a chance to meet Ben elf and Princess Holly at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm at the Kennet Centre.
