Stagecoach Newbury Christmas show ends year on high note
Talented young performing arts students from Stagecoach Newbury are set to dazzle at a show-stopping Christmas Carol performance in the historic Cheltenham Town Hall.
The Berkshire students will be joining the local Gloucestershire schools, as well as Stagecoach students from the Midlands and Oxfordshire, to take part in the festive celebration on Sunday (December 12).
Taking to the stands in the top level of the venue, they will perform to an audience as they enjoy a Christmas meal in the main hall.
Stagecoach Newbury students will be wowing the crowd with a mashup of ‘One More Sleep’ and ‘Christmas (Baby please come home)’.
Jenny Unthank, principal at Stagecoach Newbury, said: “This is our first event in two years and we are super excited especially as we have students aged from six to eighteen and from Newbury and Marlborough.
“We have been rehearsing at lunchtimes, in class and at home, trying to nail all the harmonies and the moves. Our parents are the most excited: dinner, a show and it's Christmas. It's a triple whammy!
“I think after a difficult two years it feels amazing to end on a positive note and I know I will be a super proud principal when I see all my kids performing on stage.”
