A Church in Cold Ash is raising money in aid of the floods in Pakistan.

It said: “The Greening Group are presenting this concert to show the beauty of the Earth and why we need to protect it from climate change.

“The extremes of weather around the planet are caused by climate change, not least the horrific floods in Pakistan.

“We have chosen to use this concert to support the disaster relief in Pakistan through the Disasters Emergency Committee's Pakistan Floods Appeal.”

The event will feature local performers including a recorder trio, a ukulele and guitar duo, an organ performance and poem readings.

The church has said there will also be musical surprises.

There will be a collection point for donations on the night and electronic payments will be accepted.

Free tickets are available from Cold Ash Post Office.

The evening of entertainment will commence at 7pm.
