Classic car rally, mask making and charity car boot sale today (Sun)





Around 40 cars will park up in front of the castle, at which BBC drama Downton Abbey is filmed, to raise money for the Ark Centre, which provides support to cancer sufferers and their families at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
Lord and Lady Carnarvon are also planning to arrive in Rolls Royce Phantom III and park it at the castle door.
But that’s not the only event going on at the Highclere Castle grounds today. At 10.30am, a multi-terrain 10km run for the Multiple Sclerosis Society will commence.
A junior fun run will also be on offer on the day.

A car boot sale is running from 10am to 1.30pm at the Mencap Centre, EnborneGate.
Refreshments will be available.
Shoppers are asked for a £1 donation to enter.
Giant animal mask making will keep the kids entertained at the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre from 11am to 4pm. Jill Nicholas will demonstrate how to recycle your rubbish into great arts and crafts. Cost of £1 per item.
First World War exhibitions will continue in Lambourn today, between 1pm and 6pm at St Michael and All Angels Church.
From 3pm till 5pm, Pete Allen will host his solo jazz show at The Regency Park Hotel in Thatcham. Tickets cost £10 on the door.
Also at 3pm, the Reading Spring Gardens Band will perform in the Victoria Park Bandstand, until 5pm.
