Pangbourne Classic Car Show to make roaring return for charity later this month
A popular classic car show is returning later this month.
Pangbourne Classic Car Show will make its annual return on Saturday, May 31, allowing spectators to get up close to a wide range of vintage, classic and rare cars, motorbikes and scooters on display.
New to this year’s event include a farmer’s market and organisers have also arranged a fly past from The Battle of Britain Dakota at 2.20pm on the day.
The event, held in the grounds of Pangbourne College, raised more than £10,000 for good causes last year, when it had more than 370 vehicles on display.

And this year’s show aims to raise double this figure for Wallingford charity the Footsteps Foundation, which supports children with neurological issues, as well as the Pangbourne College Community Fund that supports projects, activities or events in the local area.
Show organiser Tom Cheney said: “This fantastic community event is back and bigger than ever.
“The event has grown in popularity and we are expecting in excess of 450 cars to be on display.
“There is a very relaxed atmosphere, with two live bands playing at different points in the day.”
A range of food and ice cream vans will be available throughout the day and visitors are also welcome to bring picnics.
Pangbourne College pupils will also be showcasing the two cars they are currently working on as part of their ‘heritage engineering’ programme: ‘The Rickman Ranger’ and ‘Bond Equipe’.
Sporting Bears will also be offering passenger rides in classic cars.
The show is backed by local businesses such as DCL Lubricants, PR Motors, Howden Insurance and Waxed Detailing.
Kingdom Coffee, which has supported the show since it started in 2016, will be providing refreshments and cake throughout the day, with all proceeds donated to the charities.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm and is open to the whole community.
Spectator tickets can be bought for £10 per car in advance or on the day.
