West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club car show returning to Newbury Racecourse
CLASSIC vehicles will be on display at Newbury Racecourse next weekend.
West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club will be holding its 28th classic vehicle show between 10am and 4pm on Sunday, August 8, in support of Blood Cancer UK charity.
The club had to cancel its 2020 show due to the Covid-19 pandemic and organisers have said that this year's show will go ahead, providing there are no significant changes to regulations.
Organisers are working hard to ensure the event is as safe as possible and complies with the current regulations.
The club said that it had had to make some alterations with the limited time available to organise the event, resulting in there being no pre-booking required for exhibitors.
Instead, they are asked to turn up on the day and make a donation to Blood Cancer UK.
The club also recognised the additional financial burdens of people wanting to visit the show and have reduced the entry fee for this year.
Public entrance is £5 for adults, with free entry for children under 14.

The show was the brainchild of Dave Mills, who organised the first Leukaemia Classic Vehicle Show at Newbury Racecourse, in 1993.
It has raised more than £150,000 for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research) since its inception.
