Classic vehicle show in Newbury among Sunday events line-up





Sports fans can watch a netball match at 9.30am at Kennet Courts, with Wila Lighting taking on Sony.
For a family day out in the sunshine, head to Newbury Racecourse, from 11am, for a classic vehicle show, with gleaming vehicles on display, including a Maserati and 1934 Austin.
Autojumble will also be for sale, with catering and free parking. Cost £5 per person, children under 14 free of charge, dogs permitted on leads.
With Mothers Day in mind at the end of March, children can get involved in crafts, whilst making a charming present this afternoon, at a two-hour drop in session - Mothers Day Plant Pots - to be held at the Nature Discovery Centre , Muddy Lane, Lower Way, Thatcham.
Children can decorate a plant pot then make felt flowers to put in it - drop in between 2pm and 4pm, cost £1 per child.
Music lovers can tuck in to afternoon tea, whilst listening to delightful and rare concert harp music, at a tea and cake concert, at the Old Bluecoat School, Thatcham at 4pm.
The ensemble, Arcangeli - local harpist, Jenny Broome and Dutch harpist, Helena de Rijke - present a programme of French music, including original compositions and arrangements.
Classics to be played in duets on pedal harps include Debussy’s Cathedrale Engloutie and Ravel’s Mother Goose.
