Classic Vehicle Show returning to Yattendon in June
The Yattendon Classic Vehicle Day is returning in June after a record turnout last year.
Thousands are expected to view an ensemble of more than 500 vintage vehicles including cars, motorbikes, tractors and military hardware.
Entry is free, although voluntary donations are welcome for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, for which the event raised £3,421 last year.
Displays will be in the field opposite St Peter's and St Paul's Church and at Yattendon Garage, with vintage stalls and refreshments provided at the village hall.
Returning this year is the Second World War Sherman tank, owned by Nigel Stoate. The tank featured as ‘Old Phyliss’ in the 2014 war film Fury starring Brad Pitt.
It costs two miles to the gallon to transport the Sherman to the show from Hampshire.
And the organisers are therefore keen to hear from any local transport companies interested in sponsoring the tank, who will receive due recognition and publicity on the day.
“Everyone praises the show as being delightfully informal and in a beautiful setting,” said organiser Lyn Mistry.
Please contact entries@ycvd.co.uk or view the entry form for more information or to register your vehicle for the event.
The show will take place on Sunday, June 25.
