Classical guitar coup for Arlington

"We've only gone and got one of the best classical guitarists in the world coming here!," says Arlington Arts director Tony Trigwell Jones. Celebrated guitar virtuoso Juan Martin comes to the venue on Friday, October 12. Widely regarded as 'The Bible' of classical guitar method, Martin’s El Arte Flamenco de la Guitarra is now in its eighth edition - in other words, he is the man who wrote THE book on how to play the guitar.Though rooted in flamenco, Juan Martin’s career, which has spanned four decades and counting, has taken him much further afield – recording with artists as diverse as Miles Davis and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Having graced the stage at some of the largest venues and festivals throughout the world will make this performance at Arlington Arts’ 250 seat auditorium all the more special.
