Cold Ash Mini Band invited to meet rock royalty at Wembley gig

The band was invited along by Dream Theater after their guitarist, John Petrucci, saw a YouTube video of The Mini Band’s guitarist, eight-year-old Zoe Thomson, playing Stratosphere, by Stratovarius.
The Mini Band’s manager, Leo Westby, said: “We could not believe that they spent so much time with the children.
“It was phenomenal.
“I was amazed by the friendliness of them.
“No one else was able to meet them; we were extremely privileged."
During the meeting, The Mini Band members were able to play some of Dream Theater's instruments, talk to them on stage, had photographs taken with them and exchanged autographs.
The band initially struck a chord with people worldwide last October when footage of their performance at the Bucklebury Beer Festival on was posted on YouTube.
Almost overnight the video clip received hundreds of thousands of hits as people watched eight-year-olds Harry Jackson, Zoe Thomson, Kieran Fell and Harrison Read, and 10-year-olds Charlie Emmons and Archie Zolotuhin play a cover version Enter Sandman, by Metallica.
