Cold Ash youngster donates locks to help unwell children

Liepa Lennie, aged 10, a pupil at St Finian’s Primary School, had more than eight inches of her locks cut off when she visited Newbury salon Roderick Anthony earlier this month.
She donated the hair to Wigs for Kids, a charity which makes wigs and offers support for children who have lost their hair owing to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues, at no cost to the children or their families.
Liepa said: “I do miss my long hair, but some children and other people in the world don’t have hair because of different conditions.
“Some people don’t like to go out. My hair will help to make wigs to help people be more confident in living out their life.”
