Pangbourne College has also appointed Louise Tremlett as director of hockey, who will combine this with her role as assistant director of sport.

Before joining Pangbourne, she coached U14s teams to national finals and led U18 teams to regional indoor championships.

She is currently part of the England Hockey Coaching Development Team, delivering sessions to U14 and U16 players.

She said: “Girls’ hockey at Pangbourne has gone from strength-to-strength and I want to continue on that trajectory.”

Mr Hewick added: “Max and Louise’s appointments will help our students to continue fostering a lifelong love of physical activity.”
