Collision on A34 in Wash Water causes congestion

Update: This has now cleared.

A road traffic collision on the A34 in Wash Water has caused congestion northbound.

There is traffic on the A34 between the junctions with the A303 and the A343

There are currently delays of 15 minutes against expected traffic.

The incident caused lane closures and diversions on this stretch of road but it has since been reopened.

National Highways said: "A lane closure remains in place for recovery and clear-up."

Hampshire Police said: "The A34 northbound Lane 2 has reopened but there is still heavy traffic.

"Lane 1 remains closed at this time."

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 1.45pm and 2pm today.
