Colossal cake sale returns to Newbury

A variety of cakes will be on offer to town centre shoppers to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity
THE CHARITY fundraising colossal cake sale returns by popular demand to Newbury town centre today (Saturday).
Lovers of home-baked cakes and biscuits will be spoilt for choice, with all varieties on offer, from lemon drizzle cakes to flapjacks, in aid of the charity, Help for Heroes.
The sale - organised by Vicki Axten, of Hermitage and her team of helpers from Thatcham, Brimpton and Burghclere - will be in Northbrook Street, outside Camp Hopson's, from 9am to 3pm.
