This is the third event of its kind, put together by the not-for-profit group, with the help of Berkshire Cricket Foundation.

Community United has described the event as a manifestation of its commitments to work towards eliminating discrimination, promoting positive relationships between diverse communities and advocating for equal opportunities for all.

Around 12 teams – from a range of different groups – will be playing.

Last year teams included Thames Valley Police, West Berkshire Muslim Centre, West Berkshire Council, Christians Together and many more.

In addition to sport, culture is celebrated at the event with entertainment, activities and lots of dancing.

Berkshire Youth will be providing entertainment and activities for young people.

A diverse selection of food will be on offer too from all corners of the globe.

Community United chief executive Alice Kunjappy-Clifton said: “We are pleased to have the event back.

“The communities are going to be doing community food and there will be information stalls.

“Just seeing the community grow has been our favourite moment.

“It is lovely to see the community coming together, wanting to do this.

“We are very grateful to Berkshire Cricket Foundation for the cup and medals that they are donating and Falkland Cricket Club for giving us the ground.

“We are very pleased that this is back, long may it continue.”

This year the event will fall on Sunday, September 17, from 10am onwards at Falkland Cricket Club on Enbourne Street.
