Company gives generous donation to Hermitage-based autism charity, Prior’s Court
A global business has given an enormous donation to a local autism charity.
Kärcher UK, a global leader in cleaning technology, has gifted £30,000 worth of equipment to Prior’s Court, based in Hermitage.
The Oxfordshire-based company has donated professional vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, strimmers, lawnmowers, window vacs and more on permanent loan, to support the charity
Kärcher UK staff offered to lend their support after seeing the positive impact the charity has on young people during a visit earlier this year.
Kärcher UK managing director Simon Keeping said: “Prior’s Court is an extraordinary place, and Kärcher is delighted to support their work in any way we can.”
The company has further agreed to help deep clean the residential homes on site.
Prior’s Court head of fundraising Natalie Norris added: “We are blown away by this incredible support from Kärcher UK.
“The equipment is going to make a huge difference for our grounds team and housekeeping team, for young people to use and develop skills and for all the volunteers who come to site.
“The relationship with Kärcher means a huge amount to us and we are really excited to welcome volunteers from Kärcher to Prior’s Court in the very near future.”
Savanha Scobell, one of the charity’s housekeeping team leaders, said: “This donation will enable us to hugely improve the standards for the young people in the homes and school.
“I am also looking forward to seeing the young people using the equipment and learning new skills.”
