Compton Hallowe'en Scarecrow Trail is back

The annual Compton Scarecrow Trail returns this October half term.
Up to 30 households have entered this year for the chance win the £100 cash prize for Best Scarecrow.
The spooky Hallowe'en trail will run from Monday, October 24 to October 30.
The public vote on which scarecrow they consider the most scary or creative by entering their answers into a draw to win £30 at the Crown and Horns pub in East Ilsley.
All scarecrows need to be displayed outside for the public by 9am on Monday.
Maps cost £2 and include free sweets with each purchase. They can be paid for with cash only at the village shop.
