Concerns over increase in antisocial behaviour in Kingsclere
Kingsclere residents have become increasingly concerned about a rise in instances of antisocial behaviour in the village.
A couple who live in Thorneley Road had their car damaged sometime on either Saturday, August 19, or Sunday, August 20.
The car has suffered a small dent on one of its doors, which appears to have been caused by a shot from a ball-bearing gun.
The car’s owner said: “This may look like small damage to a car but the cost to have this repaired by dealership will be immense.
“There have been youths shooting pigeons and creating a nuisance around the village for some time now.”
Another resident reported seeing children firing at and killing pigeons on the A339, as well as spraying graffiti in spots around the village.
One resident said: “Recently we've had to replace the church carpet because it was scorched with tyre marks, we had ducks shot in the lake behind the church, the pigeons that were killed and damage to the benches in the centre of the village.
“We’ve lived here for over 30 years and we’ve never had this amount of issues. We’re a lovely quiet village.”
