Condiments firm raises £6,000 to help children in hospice care

English Provender Company has donated the sum to Naomi House following proceeds at the Berkshire Show

Condiments firm The English Provender Company has handed over a cheque for more than £6,000 to children’s hospice Naomi House.

The firm, based in Greenham Business Park, raised the funds via its stall at the Royal County of Berkshire Show, at which all proceeds from sales across the weekend in September went to the charity.

Naomi House provides care for life-limited and life-threatened children and young people in Berkshire and the south of England, as well as support and respite to their families and carers.

The money raised will go towards the purchase of two manoeuvrable ‘H’ frame hoists at the hospice, which can be operated by one carer alone, or by the individual themselves.

EPC has been supporting Naomi House Children’s Hospice for eight years.

Corporate account fundraiser at Naomi House, Tina Starbuck, said: “These hoists will transform the dignity, comfort and ease of movement for the children who are staying here.

“Thank you to all at English Provender Company for their donation.”

Marketing manager at EPC, Kerry Bishop, added: “We’re delighted to have raised such a significant amount for the hospice and are grateful to everyone who came along to the show and made a contribution.”
