Have your say on West Berkshire Council's proposal to close Kintbury care home Notrees

A consultation on a proposal to close a Kintbury care home has gone live.

The proposal would see Notrees Care Home close by December.

West Berkshire Council, which runs the home, said the proposal was due to the “changing shape of demand for adult social care in recent years and the impact of the pandemic on the needs of older people”.

At Notrees, there is space to accommodate 18 residents and currently 10 residents are being cared for.

The council said that Notrees residents and their families would be supported to relocate to one of its other care homes, or an alternative private service.
