Corn Exchange Big Weekend means there's plenty to do in West Berkshire today (Sun)





It is aimed at those aged between six and 11-years-old, and tickets cost £4 per person.
Free craft events will also be on offer at the Big Café at the Corn Exchange, open 11am till 4pm.
At 12.30pm, try out your circus skills at workshops suitable for the whole family. Available till 3pm with tickets at £1.50 each.
And, to close the weekend’s celebrations, grab your favourite fancy dress costume and head to the Corn Exchange for a fancy dress disco from 5pm till 8pm, with tickets at £4 each.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the district, the West Berkshire Ramblers will meet at 9.30am in the Child’s Court Farm car park, Ashampstead, for a 10-mile walk, with a stop for lunch at The Bull in Stanford Dingley.
For a shorter amble, meet at Hiller’s Garden Centre, Hermitage, at 10am for a three-mile walk.
The Newbury & District Royal Naval Association will be hosting the annual HMS Tigris Memorial Service at the Newbury Cenotaph (by St Nicks Church) at 11.15am.
They will be Parading from the Newbury Council Offices in the Market Square to the War Memorial and then at 11.45am for a service in St Nicolas Church..
Those planning to tie the knot may wish to visit Newbury Racecourse today for a wedding fair, running from 11am till 3.30pm.
It is free to enter, including a free prize draw and goody bag, with a fashion show at 1pm.
And at 10am, the Reading and District’s Bantam Society Open Show will continue at Northcroft Leisure Centre.
Today’s event runs from 10am till 2.30pm. Tickets cost £3.50.
