Coronavirus West Berkshire: Confirmed cases as of May 19, 2021

The number of lab-confirmed coronavirus cases in West Berkshire now stands at 6,499 – an increase of eight in the past 24 hours.

West Berkshire's seven-day rolling rate per 100,000 population to May 14 is 22.7, with 36 cases in the seven days to May 14.

The rate is calculated by dividing the seven-day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

The Government dashboard now includes local vaccination numbers, with 137,444 vaccinations given in West Berkshire as of May 18.

The first dose total is 91,945, while 45,499 people in the district have received a second dose.

Nationally, 36,985,505 people have received a first vaccine dose as of May 18, with 20,870,453 having a second dose up to this date.

The new system that disrupted the removal of cases from data yesterday has resulted in 561 cases being removed today.

Newly-reported cases for the UK and England were unaffected and historical published data totals have not been changed.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK is now 4,452,527, while the daily number of lab-confirmed cases is 2,696.

The Government said that newly-reported cases at regional and local authority level within England are calculated as the daily change in the total number of cases.

It said that figures for May 19 show significantly lower numbers or zero, and do not reflect the actual number of new cases reported on that date.

The changes come from where a positive rapid lateral flow test was followed by all negative polymerase chain reaction tests taken within three days.

Daily reported Covid-19 deaths are measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the first laboratory-confirmed positive test.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test is 127,694.

The daily number of deaths within the 28-day range is three.

The number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate is 151,904 as of Friday, May 7.
