Coronavirus West Berkshire: latest confirmed cases as of Friday, May 21

The number of lab-confirmed coronavirus cases in West Berkshire now stands at 6,511 – an increase of five in the past 24 hours.

West Berkshire's seven-day rolling rate per 100,000 population to May 15 is 33.4, with 53 cases in the seven days to May 15.

The rate is calculated by dividing the seven-day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

The Government dashboard now includes local vaccination numbers, with 140,307 vaccinations given in West Berkshire as of May 20.

The first dose total is 93,283, while 47,024 people in the district have received a second dose.

Nationally, 37,518,614 people have received a first vaccine dose as of May 20, with 21,659,783 having a second dose up to this date.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK is now 4,457,923, while the daily number of lab-confirmed cases is 2,829.

The Government said that newly-reported cases at regional and local authority level within England are calculated as the daily change in the total number of cases.

Daily reported Covid-19 deaths are measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the first laboratory-confirmed positive test.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test is 127,710.

The daily number of deaths within the 28-day range is nine.

The number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate is 151,904 as of Friday, May 7.
