Coronavirus West Berkshire: latest confirmed cases as of January 2




The number of lab-confirmed coronavirus cases in West Berkshire is now 26,433 – an increase of 215 in the last 24 hours.

West Berkshire's seven-day rolling rate per 100,000 population is 1,138.4, with 1,804 cases in the seven days to December 28.

The rate is calculated by dividing the seven-day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

The Government dashboard says that 341,130 vaccinations have been given in West Berkshire as of January 1.

The first dose total is 129,536, while 120,263 people in the district have received a second dose, and 91,331 people have received a booster dose.

Nationally, 51,771,547 people have received a first vaccine dose as of January 1, with 47,412,410 having had a second dose and 33,928,754 having had a booster dose.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK is now 13,235,401, with the daily total at 137,583.

The daily reported Covid-19 deaths are measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the first laboratory-confirmed positive test.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test is 148,851

The daily number of deaths within the 28-day range is 73.

The number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate is 172,657 as of Friday, December 17.
