Coronavirus West Berkshire: latest confirmed figures as of January 6

The number of lab-confirmed coronavirus cases in West Berkshire is now 27,676 – an increase of 334 in the last 24 hours.

West Berkshire's seven-day rolling rate per 100,000 population is 1,449.5, with 2,297 cases in the seven days to January 1.

The rate is calculated by dividing the seven-day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

The Government dashboard says that 344,361 vaccinations have been given in West Berkshire as of January 5.

The first dose total is 129,674, while 120,527 people in the district have received a second dose, and 94,160 people have received a booster dose or third dose.

Nationally, 51,874,548 people have received a first vaccine dose as of January 5, with 47,565,340 having had a second dose and 34,834,288 having had a booster or third dose.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases in the UK is now 14,015,065, with the daily total at 179,756.

The daily reported Covid-19 deaths are measured across the UK as deaths that occurred within 28 days of the first laboratory-confirmed positive test.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test is 149,515.

The daily number of deaths within the 28-day range is 231.

The number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate is 173,248 as of Friday, December 24.
