Coroner identifies Silchester man

Man found with gunshot wounds named as Michael Francis Mulhern
A MAN found dead near Silchester last week has been formally identified as 63-year-old Michael Francis Mulhern, from the village.
The North East Hampshire coroner's office confirmed the identity of Mr Mulhern today (Monday) after his body was found near Minchen's Bridge, Bramley, just outside Silchester, at 7am last Monday (February 28).
An inquest into the death was opened on Friday (March 4) and a post mortem has revealed the cause of death as shotgun wounds to the abdomen and head.
Hampshire police last week confirmed they were not treating the death as suspicious.
