Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
And every Sunday we have been shining a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 678 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
Today we have Cam to introduce you to.
Cam is a two-year-old Akita, who likes being around people and playing in water!
The Trust said he “isn't overly keen on other dogs” and so will need to find adopters who will continue working on his dog skills.
“He is very friendly around people and enjoys a fuss, but can be over-enthusiastic when greeting new people,” they added.
Cam is looking for a pet-free home with a private, secure garden and due to his size and boisterous nature, the Trust said he can only live with older children.
He may need ongoing training with his dog skills and basic training and a home with breed experience would be desirable but is not essential.
